Megan Birdsall, technical director
Megan Birdsall is a Vason Island/Seattle, Washington native who spent a year at Cornish College of the Arts before moving to New York City to intern at Dixon Place. While interning, she designed and ran lights and sound for countless productions
including favorites Alexandra Beller, Bridge Markland and Karen Bernard. Upon completing her internship, Megan was hired as technical
director and technical consultant for Dixon Place, positions she kept until returning to Seattle. She is a founding member of Implied Violence, and has designed and built lights
and sets for all IV productions. She also designs lights for fellow ensemble member Jessie
Smith's dance company Dead Bird Movement. Megan’s light designs are currently on tour with Scott Turner Scofield's “Debutante Balls”.
Megan runs the label Don't Stop Believin' Records.

Lily Nguyen, ensemble member
Lily Nguyen has a BFA in technical theatre from the Cornish College
of the Arts. She is a current member of Implied Violence. Her background is, foremost, collaborative workings of sound design, audio engineering and field recording for unconventional theatres and individual artists.
Lily worked as Assistant Sound Technician at On The Boards where she was exposed to work from local artists as well as touring dance and theatre companies from New York and Chicago. This experience was the catalyst for her aesthetic – movement, performance art, and theatrics fused with sound design. Her most recent work was as Sound Designer for Implied Violence on a show performed at the (con)temporary Gallery, in Reno, Nevada. She participated in the Womens’ Prison Project for the Pat Graney Company as Visual Artist and Sound Designer. She has also been worked with established companies like On The Boards and the Pat Graney Company as well as with the local emerging companies Theater Unlocked, A.A.Theatre Society and Dead Bird Movement.
Mandie O'Connell, managing director
Mandie is a founding and current member of Implied Violence. She has generated and performed in all Implied Violence productions, as well as numerous pieces with the affiliated Villainaire’s Academy. She has also worked on productions at Cornish College of the Arts under Mame Hunt and John Wilson, with whom she heads up The School of Big Ideas, a bimonthly salon. Mandie also works with Cassandra Sanders, a Chicago playwright, as The Playwrighting Team. The Team is currently developing Mandie’s new series of short plays.
Jessie Smith, ensemble member
Jessie Smith is a founding member of Implied Violence and currently the ensemble’s Treasurer. She is also Artistic Director of the Seattle-based modern dance company Dead Bird Movement. In addition, Jessie dances for Amy O’Neal and Zeke Keeble’s company Locust.
